The documentary was presented in the section Zone in the 21st edition of the Trieste Film Festival. It retraces, after 40 years, the journey made in Friuli Venezia Giulia by Mario Soldati for the magazine Grazia, to discover the local wines. "... The genuine wine is somehow an act of faith, to a secret religion ..." wrote Soldati leaving for his trip. It’s a journey through the places and the people who have inherited the memory of the past. It’s a film of words. It talks about people, landscapes, houses, wine. Osterias and utopias. Tradition and the market. Trying to assess the "men of the wine”, to recover a past. The director, Giampaolo Penco, met producers of yesterday and today.
