THE STARS OF FASHION IN FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA

The Stars of Fashion in Friuli Venezia Giulia: on September the 13th a delegation of “guru” from Italian and international fashion visited Russiz Superiore in Capriva del Friuli, pride of the Marco Felluga family and one of the most prestigious wineries in the Collio DOC. Roberto Felluga accompanied the group to visit the cellar and to taste some of his well known wines up in the house, a charming setting from a hill overlooking the vineyards descending towards Capriva del Friuli. The occasion of the visit was the final of the 2008 Mittelmoda Fashion Award, the prestigious international competition for emerging designers promoted by Mittelmoda International Lab in collaboration with Udine Gorizia Fiere, Camera Nazionale Moda Italiana, SMI - Sistema Moda Italia and Fondazione Industrie Cotone e Lino. The event, hosted in the fairgrounds of Gorizia and now come to the 16th edition, is a true point of reference in the scene of Italian and international fashion. Among the guests there were Count Matteo Marzotto, new President of Mittelmoda International Lab (MIL), its predecessor Beppe Modenese, Honorary President of National Chamber of Italian fashion and president of the jury, Elio Fiorucci, among the most known designers and trend setters, Maurizio Tripani, the Director of Udine and Gorizia Fiere as well as general manager of MIL and many designers and fashion experts. The delegation - composed of about eighty people, including many representatives of the Mittelmoda International Lab- stayed for a long time with Roberto Felluga before reaching Gorizia for the final gala event. The guests could taste the wines Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore, combined with strictly local cuisine: it was thus renewed the combination between wine and fashion, both leading sectors of Made in Italy.
